The Civil Wars Billie Jean cover (most likely a repost)

Sorry if this is a repost. But in case you have not heard this version two things you should know. First it is an awesome LIVE cover and a talent you don't get in the mainstream very often. Second, I can promise you will stare at at least one thing in this video.

  • Great voice, perfect body, hypnotic trance-like movements.. This guy has it ALL.

Hahaha. Just messing. In all seriousness though, this chick is smokin' hot. Damn.

I actually like it better, those two lounge lizards made a catchy tune boring if you ask me... this street guy adds a real spin to it, spices it up, puts piss n vinager to it.... actual piss, too, by the look of the poor bugger.

      :P

  • Very talented. In fact to be honest, I prefer this to the original version.

    Thank you for posting this.

    Cheers.

  • Did they sing a song? Something else distracted me.

  • They're not untalented technically, but too bad they lean pretty far toward Al Yankovik and Borat if all Borat did was cover others' work. I'm not much for ongoingly satirizing onesself and the original work in the playing of music, especially while doing a cover, especially a cover of a massive hit. If there was a democrap genre of music, this would be right up there.

    • @Rousing Sermon I can't imagine anything holding them back other than lack of creativity. Can't go platinum doing covers your whole life. Christ, their vocals are spine-tingling. Maybe they just don't want to play ball with the record companies?...I dunno. Seems like a waste of talent, though.

    • @Elk Snot I agree, also I think its part of the culture of the times, demotard self-loathing and outlawing reality, gratefulness and honesty using some invented "isms" and all that toxic shit. Normal people are afraid to be real cause mini-obamas will denigrade it as passe.

They do have original music, but they also do covers. Which,I assume is a byproduct of being original in an unoriginal world (musically) in that to be original leaves you on the fringe. No one is willing to invest in you if you do not follow a formula or something that may have worked before. So doing covers in an original way seem to be an attractive way to bring people to find and listen to original material. To me this makes sense, but to other it may be that I do not know of what More..

    • @cadillaccuz Actually, I was the one that didn't know what they were saying. I think they're just an up-and-coming musical act. They've got vids on YT with production value, so somebody's picked them up. And they worked with Taylor Swift for the song from The Hunger Games, which probably helped them immensely in terms of exposure. I just needed to take a 5 minute crash-course on YT to get a little education (I feel like a moron saying YouTube is education, BTW).

    • @cadillaccuz Just found out they've got a couple Grammy's already. I should probably consult Wikipedia in the future before posting.

  • pretty sweet cover, has anyone seen the funky version of this. It's some guy playing a local battle of the bands or something.
