A man with a rocket strapped to his back landed safely at the Los Angeles Convention Center to help kickoff "WIRED NextFest 2007" Thursday (9/13). The four-day convention features more than 160 interactive exhibits from scientists and researchers from around world. It gives attendees a look at the products and technologies of the future, including robots and personal flying machines, just to name a few. Thursday (9/13) was "Education Day" and thousands of Southern California students got in for free. The WIRED NextFest Convention is open to the public from Friday (9/14) through Sunday (9/16).
