OAKDALE, La. — State police say a former Allen Parish sheriff's deputy has been arrested on theft charges that involved improper use of a credit card.The Town Talk reports (http://townta.lk/PapbZa ) 43-year-old Patrick Buxton of Oakdale resident was booked Friday with malfeasance and theft over $1,500.Police say Buxton is accused of using a sheriff's
office credit card to purchase 6,949 gallons of gasoline with an
approximate value of $24,300 between July 2011 and May 2012.If convicted, Buxton faces up to 15 years in prison and an $8,000 fine.It was unclear whether Buxton has an attorney.
