A customer leaving a southwest Houston gas station was shot and killed during a robbery there, authorities said.

Surveillance video from the Conoco gas station, at 5699 Beechnut near Hillcroft, shows Saturnino Argueta leaving the store around 6:20 p.m. Friday as three men with ski masks enter. Within seconds of entering the store, one of the men shot Argueta, 57, before robbing him and the store, authorities said.

The time stamp from the surveillance video shows the crime occurring about an hour and half after it actually happened, Houston police spokesman Kese Smith said.

Argueta was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The robbers then fled in a white, two-toned Ford F-250 pickup with a front brush guard. Investigators said they believe a fourth person involved in the robbery remained inside the truck.

According to the surveillance video, the shooting and robbery all took place in under a minute.
