Avellino (Italy) - A 40 years old Indian immigrant killed his wife and their 5 years old daughter, before committing suicide.

The only survivor is the couple's elder daughter, aged 12, who was the first one to be attacked with a cutter by the enraged man: her mother managed to briefly stop the attack allowing the girl to run in the street. The man turned his murderous rage against his own wife, and then on his little daughter, killing them both. The elder daughter has been hospitalized with a deep cut to the neck.

The massacre took place after a verbal dispute. Social workers, who were keeping an eye on the man's family, said the man was extremely unhappy because his daughters were embracing way too "liberal" attitudes.

UPDATE
As more details are surfacing from the investigators, it is now known that the man's name was Charamangeet Sigk and he was of Sik faith, as some of you had guessed already.
