The Republican party has one goal with these laws... and that goal is to denie as many people in a category of people(s) that statics say will not vote for them in significant numbers but will vote for the other side in significant numbers.

The Republicans have come out and said as much, that by passing this sort of legislation that it ensures them victory in key battleground states.

VIctory is sweet when you win against an equal opponent but it is rendered tasteless and meaningless if you had to commit fraud and perjury and out right cheating in order to achieve it.

There have been Republican candidates in the past that I have admiored but there gone now and all that is left is the chaff on the ground.
