In fact, in Obama's Rose Garden speech, he made a general comment about terrorism, but at no time did he say the Benghazi attack was an act of terrorism. His exact words were: “No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for." These comments followed Obama's reference to 9/11.
For the next two weeks, Obama and his Administration repeatedly blamed the Youtube Muhammad video for the "spontaneous protest" that led to the attack. He even blamed the video during his speech at the UN on September 25th, where he also included the statement: "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam".
If he knew it was a terrorist attack, why did he lie about the video? If he didn't lie about the video because he thought, at the time, that was the reason, why did he lie at this debate? Either way, he is a liar.
