It looks pretty spectacular, but there is another reason than being a volvo that it is holding up so well compared to the other cars. There is a ramp which forces the volvo to impact the small car above the base of the chassis, so there is a lot less structural stuff in the way. That way the Volvo can slice through the other car and not sustain much damage to itself. If it was hitting at ground level, both cars would get f-ed up, though the volvo driver would be safer because of the crumple zone More..
