Safe Mode: On
National-Socialism was a left-wing movement

On July
7, 2012 Susanne Zeller-Hirzel, who is now 91 years of age, resurrected the
"White Rose" (Weiße Rose) along with 8 activists. It is well known
that the original White Rose was a resistance movement in Munich from 1942 to
1943 during the time of the Third Reich. On the campus of the University of
Munich the members of the group called for the overthrow of Hitler, and after
the battle for Stalingrad in 1943, called directly for resistance. Susanne
Zeller-Hirzel was a close friend of Sophie Scholl who was beheaded by the Nazis
on 22 February, 1943. Susanne Zeller escaped death managed to deceive the judge
and was released from prison after five months.

The
speaker in the video is Marc Doll, Federal Vice Chairman and founding member of
the party DIE FREIHEIT, a civil liberties party (Bürgerrechtspartei) in Germany
which advocates direct democracy. In the video Marc Doll addresses the thinking
behind the establishment of the new White Rose resistance.

The new
'White Rose' has two principal messages to convey:

1.
National-Socialism was a left-wing movement.

2. The
Nazis are back again, today they call themselves "Antifascists."

  • National socialism was a leftist movement.
Then Hitler morphed Germany into a fascist, authoritarian government. (right wing)

    • @Moore Slayer Thought we were talking about national socialism....
      You thought that meant communism?
      They are the same thing?

  • Fascism, communism, totalitarian, authoritarian, blah blah blah. The one thing they all have in common is overreaching government, something the American left seems to have been courting for quite some time now.

While I'm not accusing the left of being any or all of these things, they seem to be the ones headed in that direction. The American right has been drifting towards libertarian and independent ideals. I just call it as I see it.

    • @ChumCannon The american right is heading toward libertarian and independent ideals by:
      Banning abortion.
      Shutting down medical marijuana.
      Religion in schools.
      Religion in politics.
Increasing military presence at home and abroad.
Using drones to spy on American citizens.
Indefinite detention of American citizens without charges, much less a fair trial.
      Patriot act 1 & 2
      War on drugs.
War on everybody that Israel doesn't like.

If you are calling it like you see it, I suggest glasses.
      Bifoca More..

    • @castanza128 I see enough to know that the left wants the bigger government, but I don't know why the left gets so offended when they hear that, it's the truth.

    • @ChumCannon The left makes the government bigger. I agree
That doesn't mean that the right is libertarian.
They make the government bigger too.

    • @castanza128 the right isn't libertarian, please read what I wrote. They are currently trending in that direction.

Also, thanks for replying if you disagree rather than just give a boring thumbs down.

    • @goervideos: Fascism is neither exclusively right nor left. It is a third vector, authoritarian in nature that is anti-Marxist, anti-communist, anti-capitalist, anti-conservative and anti-liberal. It's primary goal is to build a idealist, secular, social society. National Socialism wasn't conservative at all, in that Hitler's appeal to the past wasn't to "the good old days", but to a mythic history of the Germanic people. The Nazis were not trying to "preserve" anything - the More..

    • @Moore Slayer Fascism is a way more complicated subject than nazism, and older (fascio roots).
I think, (we could write 1 book to describe it more precisely)the nazism is more about a military state, and fascim a counter reaction to an opposition.

Fascism came in the us in 1933 (silver movement) and fascism is clearly anti-liberal.
But we have a very different view in Europe about liberals/conservatives/left and right than usa, where the things look always a little black or right.

      But i do not More..

  • Hitler used the word socialism to garner support, as "socialism" was the popular lean after wwI. Hitler even wanted to drop the word "socialism" in nSdap but that plan was forgotten when more important things arouse (popularity of the NSDAP...) if you speak german and listened to any of hitlers 1920's speaches or read excerpts or audio, You would understand what he meant by 'socialism'.

  • Strange how people draw their political spectrum with such convoluted lines.

The idea that right wing is somehow exclusively synonymous with authoritarianism when the communists were every bit as authoritarian as the Nazis is just dishonest.
It seems as though the heavy influence of TV and movies has created an entire generation of stupid people, doesn’t anyone READ anymore?

Fascism and Communism were in many ways similar but on some issues both economically and socially they differed, more More..

Liberal democratic governments? Sort of a vague term don’t you think? Ah you mean Socialist right? Well you’ve lost the plot son Socialism does not recognize the interest of the individual.

      You claim you are educated....
      I suggest a class on government/civics.
      Even at high school level.
It would fix these misconceptions that you have.

Stop getting your information from right wing media. They have convinced you that right wing = liberty.

  • The actions and rhetoric of the Nazis more paralells the ideas of the neo-cons than that of the liberals. So lets just say it since they keep bringing it up.

    Radical right-wingers are neo-nazis.

You think you are the master race above muslims, mexicans, blacks and Chinese. You are for a theocratic totalitarian government where only your point of view is allowed. You are for a priviledged class who lords over the less fortunate (which is more like divine priviledge or serfdom).

The only people who are confused about this, are childish leftists who don't know the differences between left and right. Conservative Totalitarian is an oxymoron. It's just not something you're ever going to be able to understand. You're brainwashed. Sorry buddy.

Erm, no actually: The 'original' White Rose was the symbol of the House Of York way way way back even before the 15th century in the War Of The Roses against the Red Rose House of Lancaster.

    Pedantic, yes. Carry on...
