John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and the rest of the traitors in the Senate were relentless with their attacks against Ronald Reagan when he wanted to build the star wars missile defense system, but now they are silent that we need it.
The Russians were and still are against missile defense, because they see it as a threat to their ability to strike the USA at will. The progressive loons wanted us defenseless, but thank God Reagan did not let these communist saboteurs get their way.

What always gets me about liberals is not that they are so consistently wrong on so many common-sense issues like missile defense, but how they pay almost no political price when they are proven so obviously, ridiculously wrong. Then they just sort of blend into the viewpoint they opposed in the first place with hardly a comment.

Liberals have been trying to dismantle any and all attempts at building up a missile defense system for the past 30 years. They have always said it was too costly (they needed more handout money for their peasants). I guess losing Hawaii or Alaska isn't going to cost us that much.

NK missiles could "theoretically" reach Alaska or Hawaii in the last administration and they didn't do much about it.
As for Star Wars - no amount of money was going to make that program a reality for more than a decade and Russia was the only threat according to that administration. We simply didn't have the technology to intercept an ICBM in the 80's -or the 90's for that matter. To be honest - in the early part of this decade - we could only get a 1 in 10 intercept ratio... Obama administration knowns that and will not start another front of the republican insanity called "war against terrorism". 911 was caused by lack of diligence and competence from CIA and FBI, that allowed a bunch on weird muslim monkeys to take pilot lessons and fly jet into WTC.
