An elderly convicted sex offender who became a YouTube sensation by posting zany videos of himself singing, died this week in prison.
Edward Muscare, 79, was best known as "edarem" to his nearly 22,000 YouTube subscribers for his videos lip-syncing with wild gray hair and missing teeth to songs like Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman" or "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth."
In 2010 he was sentenced in Lake County, Fla., by Circuit Judge Mark Hill to five years in prison for posting the videos, which violated his probation. Sex offenders typically cannot have a computer or Internet access.
Muscare's original crime happened more than two decades ago when he pleaded no contest in Orange County, Fla., to a 1987 sexual battery of a boy. He served a prison term and was placed on a 10-year probation, but the term was extended twice because of subsequent violations. In 1998 he failed to
