Can I haz reload ?

Sorry Brian :)

Anyone into guns should get a good laugh. This is a good example of what happens when you don't stagger the bullets as you load them for a Lee Enfield, I wasn't around for this video myself. This was filmed by a buddy who has a cousin with land on a reserve so we go out there rather then drop 500 on a membership for a range

    • @mona2000 Not so funny when you are in a firefight and you cant reload fast enough, then the next thing you know you are on the ground bleeding out and your life is slowly vanishing from your eyes. Now that is a damn terrifying prospect hope i never have to go to war.

  • Jeez, hope that you're out in the middle of nowhere!
    Those ricochets sound dangerous!
Love the Lee Enfield - shot at Bisley in late 70's,
    take a fly's eyebrows off at 150yds.

  • The British 303 is a rimmed cartridge, if you don't put them in the magazine in the right order they hang up on one another. But regardless this shortcoming I still love the old No. 4's.

  • When I was a gun club member back in the late seventies surplus Lee Enfields were being sold for ten pounds. I don't remember anyone having these problems loading them.

    • It looks to me, like he might be deliberately shooting across the top of those crops to get the round to tumble "up" and make that cool winding 'ricochet' sound.

Maybe he knew exactly what was downrange for the next 1,000 yards? If he knew exactly what was w-a-y down range, it's cool, but I agree it don't look right.

-also nothing surprises me with feed issues, but I don't see how staggering ammo in the magazine can effect a rd. once it has been in battery and fired, isn't the prob More..

    • The video makes it hard to tell but they are shooting slightly downhill into the target and the ground raises slowly but plenty high behind the target for a suitable backdrop and this was on a reserve. On this land the guy that owns it can just go around shooting whatever moves and is not human lol, Maybe it's his lee Enfield but it's really picky how you set the bullets up in the clipper strip before dunking into the magazine

  • Idiot is shooting without a definite back stop. Good way to kill somebody in the next county! I'd guess that the rim of the top .303 cartridge is behind the next one in the magazine.

    • Are you serious?? lol well there is a woods back there. Besides that I'm willing to bet even shooting lvl at 3 feet above the ground that bullet is only going 1/4 to 1/2 a mile, if that, b4 it hits the dirt

    • And shooting into "a woods" without having a clue as to what's in there is your idea of "gun safety"? Make sure you let me know if your mother ever lets you touch a firearm.

    • I should have been more specific in description, this was on reserve land in Canada which means native owned middle of butt fuck no where and the owner can shoot almost anything he wants that's not human. There was also a gradual incline behind the target that rose plenty high and the woods behind hid a hill
