thats never the crue.
See the sky divers waiting on the ground, they seem to be part of a group jumping from a heli like the ones in midair.
Also an helicopter would go out of control very quickly even with a fully functioning tailrotor if beeing left on its own.

It looks to me like one of the jumpers got his static line caught in the tail rotor. It looks like he is swinging around back there as the choper comes down. Take a close look. I could be wrong.

I think i've found it.

40km from Khabarovsk
being at altitude of 1200m the tail gearbox had crumbled, 8 chuters were ordered to hop out for their lives (one of them got hurt at some point), three crew members had survived the landing, the heaviest injury was the captain breaking both legs.

I'm pretty sure the helicopter losing the tail rotor is what caused the accident. Now what you meant to say is it is unknown what caused the tail rotor to fail, leading to the accident.
