Chose dumb members of the herd doomed the whole bunch. No grizzle bear is penetrating that circle of horns so long as they stick together. They didn't so the bear gets two babies to eat.
If i were there, now would be the time i'd shoot the bear. One grizzly plus maybe 70 pound of musk ox meat.
