A Stokesdale man was arrested Friday on charges he raped a 13-year-old girl multiple times over the last four years.

Darrel Delane Thomas, 40 of 1284 N.C. 68 was wanted on charges he had sex with the girl between Aug. 10 and Sept. 10, 2004 and again from Sept. 1, 2006 and Feb. 28 this year, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.

Thomas has been charged with three counts of statutory rape of a child and two counts of first-degree rap of a child.

He is being held on a $1 million bond at the Rockingham County jail.
