    • So you think it is Obama who's preventing those oil wells from being uncapped?? My money is on the oil companies themselves. I know of no law, federal or state that prevents oil companies from using capped wells. The feds stopped filling the Strategic Reserve because oil companies were complaining it was affecting the price to much so the (feds) did not object when the oil companies capped the wells supplying the Reserve.

  • I think America gets most of it's oil from Canada. It doesn't matter, if they want to raise prices they will do it. Oil on the West Coast doesn't come from the Middle East but we will pay the price anyway.
    Usually they say a pipeline blew up in Bakersfield, thats why we have to pay more for gas.

  • Good, I hope they hit $300 a barrel. I got a wind turbine, soloar panels and a hybrid. I dont waste my money on anything other than healthy groceries.

  • There is NO REASON forthe USA to continue reliance on mideast oil. The place is as unstable as wet dynamite and has been for 40 years, yet big oil and the government won't do a thing about it.
    The short-term answer for the USA is GAS FROM COAL! We have enough coal to cover gasoline production for the next 40 years (Hitler was doing it during WW2, i'm pretty sure the refining process is perfected by now). BUT - the Democrats will not allow ground to be broken on a single American gasoal plant! More..
