ATM Theft Fail

The Davis Police Department has released surveillance video of a brazen break-in at a Target store early Sunday morning. The video shows two men driving a Dodge truck into and through the store on 2nd Street.

The video shows the truck crashing through two sets of glass doors. According to police, the men were after the store’s ATM. The men and the truck were inside the store for about three minutes.

In the video, it appears the men are attaching a cable to the ATM.

They made several attempts to pull the machine out of the store but their cable ended up snapping. The men then dashed out, leaving the full-size truck inside the Target.

You cannot see the would-be thieves faces and their hands are covered, but Davis police are hoping someone saw the two burglars with the truck prior to the break-in.

Davis police said Target put the damage to the store and merchandize at $120,000. Several cameras caught images of the crime, now police hope the public can help them catch the actual criminals.
