That's one huge snake. I looked at the metadata of the image and it appears it was taken with an Iphone. But it could be a photoshop image that was taken by an Iphone off of a computer screen. I just don't care to analyze it anymore than that.

This photo, purportedly taken near Louisiana's Morganza Spillwaypurportedly taken near Louisiana's Morganza Spillway, is simultaneously horrifying and kind of amusing. The snake just looks so purposeful, with its head raised like that. As though it's out running some errands, or on a morning commute.
That said, I kind of hope somebody spots the pixels that prove this image is a fake. Because the idea of giant snakes hanging out alongside American highways gives my feet a terrible case of the crawling willies.

A king Brown snake reaches 3 meters while the snake in the picture is clearly just over twice that in size. As to what plants are not native to louisiana.. point them out and name them.

@Breakingthru you still holding to your story, even after seeing countless articles on this very image that all state you are about stupid?

Countless articles speculating. My story is whats typed above the clip not what's below it. The only thing I added was the link to the original image. It's definitely not a King Brown Snake. I'll stick to that.
As for, me being stupid.. well.. Does that make us Stupid and Stupider? You being the latter. Nah nah nah nah. Bonehead.

I would say, judging by its color, shape of head, and length it would be a King Cobra

@masterofme
Possibly. My first thought was it was an anaconda.

It's definitely not a King Brown. It's far too long - I know because I once sat on a full size one by mistake :-)
Cobra looks about right. Anaconda would be thicker.

I don't know whether or not this is a fake, but I have a large albino Burmese Python which will (frequently) lay about with her head raised like this....sometimes for hours. In fact, I have a photo of her in the front yard just this last summer where she is kicked back like this. If you want a copy of it, send me your email and I'll shoot it to you.
