I wouldn't say rarely...
Also, I am not just saying I wouldn't want to get killed. I wouldn't want to be the guy that shredded the scooter girl either. I truly do watch a little more carefully for the unexpected because of the things I've seen here. Will it do me any good? Probably a bit, but there is still the chance I will be pinned in traffic while a cement truck barrels into me at high speed.

@nonad yeah, we can only be as safe as the next fellows carelessness. it's all about mitigating risk i guess but if some drunk drivers front grill has your name on it then ultimately there will be little you can do about it....especially if your name is ford! ;)
