Mesa police are looking for a man who walked in and shocked a gas station worker with a stun gun while trying to rob the store.
Sgt. Ed Wessing with the Mesa Police Department said the man walked into a Shell gas station around 4 a.m. Monday near Higley and Brown roads.
The 19-year-old worker was in front of the counter cleaning the store when surveillance video shows the suspect reach over and zap the worker in the back.
The worker then fights back and ends up pushing the suspect out the front door.
The suspect ran off and the worker called 911.
The worker had to be taken to the hospital for an elevated heart rate but was released a short time later.
Rayman Faizur, the store manager, said the suspect had been in the store shortly before the attack and bought bottled water and candy.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male 16 to 18 years old and is 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.
