Anybody who's seen the original Evil Dead knows that at the time it came out it was ultra violent, so perverse it was threatened with violating obscenity laws. Now the creators of the original have returned to push the boundaries again. Here is the full redband trailer and the trailer alone is one of the most violent pieces of art I've ever seen.

Evil Dead seemed more tongue-in-cheek, to me, than anything. This version just reminds me of every other modern horror were CGI takes precedence over the story.
