Soldiers of the Kansas National Guard's 1st Battalion, 108th Aviation
Regiment and Company G, 2-135th General Support Aviation Battalion
assist firefighting operations underway in Colorado. The Guardsmen
deployed to Colorado June 12 at the request of that state's emergency
management officials to support ongoing ground firefighting efforts in
an area at the High Park in Larimer County, Colo., approximately 15
miles west of Fort Collins. The crew provided structure protection and
helped support back burns by dropping water from Bambi buckets. Provided

Great footage! Thanks for sharing! Every time I watch military B rolls I am reminded of the term "moving pictures" I like how the military always has a standard way of shooting. Beautiful in a sense.

Gotta love these guys and gals. I don't think the public knows just how valuable the ANG asset is to air firefighting efforts in the USA. They are most often the first on station laying down water before anyone else is wheels up.
Love the fact they are filming with GoPro's now. The footage is awesome.

Definitely a good thing the US has fire fighting resources like this, but I would imagine we could afford a shit load more if we weren't providing free military service to every country on the planet. It's not like any country is going to offer the US any help to fight these fires.
But we've already had that argument, so no since beating a dead horse.
