Our police department routinely invites citizens to participate in our shoot/don't shoot scenarios (A video system that places you in real life situations where you need to decide when to shoot and when not to shoot). When you end up injuring 9 innocent people for the 1 that you were actually aiming at it should make you take a long hard look at the tactics and training you are using.
Moreover if you have any sense you would see that the "hatred" that people feel for law enforcement is there for a reason. BOTH of my parents were police officers and as much as I know there are many good officers out there even I find a good amount of disdain for a lot of police in this country.
