Transport Truck VS Freight Train Moncton

Around 4 P.M. this afternoon a transport truck travelling on Edinburgh Drive in the West End of Moncton had a collision with a freight train, splitting it in 2 pieces. Moncton Fire , NB Ambulance and Codiac R.C.M.P. were on scene, the driver of the truck was checked by Paramedics but not transported to hospital and the conductors of the train were unharmed . Officials from C.N. were also on scene and Edinburgh drive was blocked off by Public works at Salisbury Road and on the other side of the accident at Baig Blvd. in the Industrial Park. Contents of the trailer laying on the ground and a heavy duty tow truck was called to deal with what is left of the truck and trailer. The driver of the truck was sitting in a R.C.M.P. vehicle talking to a Officer as more employees from C.N. arrive to investigate.
