Inspired by CargeLocks great vids about the RAF Lightning Jet Fighters and the Test pilot vids I resurrected this vid which, incidentally, was my first post. (so basically, it's a BR job)

It's the story of Frank Whittle and a new device called a jet 'tur-bin' (only one character in the film called it a 'tur-bine' - and he was a railway man)!

interesting insight into the workings of the jet engine - for those that like these sort of things .. look at the fuel gauge go down as quick as they can pour the fuel into it!
