Great film.. but I can't believe how unsafe that factory was.
Heavy loads hung and swing right over peoples head's.
Zero personal safety gear, eye protection, gloves, boots, heat suits etc.

One thing is for sure, our grandpa's were some tough sons-a-bitches!!
And I don't think OSHA would be too keen with using the men as ballast weight when they are moving those pieces into the furnace. That was pretty hilarious!!! See my statement above!!
And as usual, Cleaner, awesome vid!!!!!!!

Great video Cleaner!
Although, the narrator gets me in the mood for the 1951 version of "Scrooge"!!

Hey, what's the extra bolt left for?
Neato!
Sand-casting is a lot of fun.
I can't believe how many workers wore stuffy wool hats in a foundry.
Metal working/machining on a grand scale.
I thought building a small scale boiler was hard o.0

. . now that's amazing !!
. . kids coming out of 'school' these days are unable to even speak english . . never mind thinking about engineering an old work-horse like this !
. . just goes to show how many skills we've managed to loose in the name of 'progress' . . kind of sad really !
A brilliant video though . . top stuff !!

The 6207 had been scrapped according to http://www.railuk.info/steam/getscrap.php?item=CRE
looks like the 6201 is still in service - don't know how many others
