A San Francisco company Leap Motion has leapfrogged the state of the art in this young field, giving users the ability to control what's on their computers with hundredth of a millimeter accuracy and introducing touch-free gestures like pinch-to-zoom.

i think its cool - but i think they over estimate what they think people want.
humans are tactile responsive on MANY levels, and from this demo alone, one can see less control then you get with actually touching the screen. also i don't think this would be too effective with laptops... which is where the world is headed. i think we will see something more like the iPad as the next major progression. keyboards becoming a thing of the past or (as seen here), desktop only. IMO
