Family of coyotes running loose through a neighborhood

A family of coyotes was running loose through a neighborhood in West Roxbury Wednesday morning.

The were first spotted by a man on Francesca Street around 6:30 a.m. He found a mother coyote laying one of her pups on a lawn there after the pup had been hit by a car. The man called 911 and that's when animal control came in.

The pup had died, but the mother was still searching the area for her three other pups.

One of them was caught by an officer in the bushes outside a home on Lasell Street. You can see that and the mother coyote running loose in the video clips on the upper right corner of your screen.

The mother and the two other pups were not found.

The captured pup was taken to a state reserve in Westboro.
