Kicker Matt Bryant kicked three field goals and three extra points for the Buccaneers Sunday, a day after burying his infant son in Texas.
Bryant's third field goal, a 24-yarder with under three minutes left, lifted the Buccaneers to a 23-21 lead which became a 30-21 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
That field goal would have stood as the deciding points, except Earnest Graham broke off a run to the 2 yard-line, from where he scored a touchdown, following an interception by Gaines Adams.
Bryant had told the team after his 3-month-old Matthew Tryson Bryant died Wednesday morning that he wanted to play and made his decision official on Saturday.
The team showed its support of Bryant by letting him get introduced last in the pre-game introductions, to a rousing ovation from the crowd at Raymond James Stadium.
Bryant rewarded the community support by making his first two field goals, from 23 yards and 36 yards, that gave Tampa Bay a 13-7 lead over the Green Bay Packers.
