I always give construction sites a wide berth in third world countries just for that reason.

@HuntGather
I feel bad for the guy and his family. He's trying to work and make a living. It looks like safety codes need updated there, because I see no safety harness on they guy, and he probably was within the legal codes in that area too.
When I am on a site to work, it is the law that you must wear a safety harness if you are to be 6 feet or higher on any surface. Kind of extreme, I am 6 foot tall.

@Rhemis I think that was a passer-by who got nailed by something accidently dropped off from the construction site. Dude looks like he has a book bag and tennis shoes on...not exactly construction worker gear.

Oh.
Maybe the area could have been zoned off to pedestrians. Damn, those things happen.

I dunno..in North America any major construction especially high rise is fenced off to the pubic to avoid accidents
This has been a message from the Workman's Compensation Board

looks like those doctors have no idea what they are doing and I doubt they even know what to do with the blood pressure measurement they did either. They should be putting him on a spine board and give him 2 or more intravenous lines and start him up on fluids and mannitol and rush him to a hospital if they really want to save his life...
Instead theyre jiggling his head and auscultating him on the t-shirt, like wdf?!

I find it interesting how everybody stands around and does absolutely nothing. Sometimes comforting the wounded is enough. Also, confused as to why the police did not disperse the crowd, and allowed them to stay within dangerous proximity to where the object fell? What if there had been more debris falling?
