A pregnant cow caused e25,000 of damage on a three-hour rampage through the German city of Hanover yesterday.

Uschi escaped from a farm and became violent as she encountered shocked drivers and pedestrians. Pursued by the farmer, television camera crews, 30 policemen and fire fighters, Uschi lashed out at whatever got in her way.

Uschi was brought down by tranquilliser darts, without harming her unborn calf.
