Midland Truck Accident Elmwood , Moncton

A Midland Transport lost the trailer on Elmwood Drive & Price streets this morning around 11 AM. Codiac Regional RCMP blocked off a couple lanes so the heavy duty tow truck could lift the trailer up enough to place some stands under the trailer so the tractor could back under it, because the accident damaged the stands that are on the trailer itself. Road conditions were dry at the time of the accident, this is a bad corner for truckers turning out of Price street , not enough room and they usually hit the curb trying to head north towards the Trans Canada Highway which is not far from this intersection. 2 lanes of Elmwood Drive were blocked for well over a hour. I spoke to a RCMP member at the scene and he told me the trailer had a full load and they were going to block a couple of lanes just for the safety of the tow truck operator while he worked to get the trailer up straight enough to get the truck under it .
