After clashing with regime forces YPG fighters took over the control of some parts of Aleppo. According to the Democractic Union Party (PYD) regime forces have suffered some casualties.


Prior of this the Syrian airforce conducted bombardements on the quarter of Ashrafieh causing the death of about 25 Kurdish civilians on 31th January. After that occurence Syrian soldiers captured about 100 civilians of Kurdish origin. There are not any information about their stay.


Kurdish media reported that armed groups affiliated to the FSA also tried to take over the control in Kurdish areas of Aleppo.
