Stolen Car hits fire hydrant!

SAN DIEGO -- A car sheared off the top of a fire hydrant in Chollas View Tuesday morning.

Around 2 a.m. the driver of a silver Toyota Camry lost control
and hit the hydrant at the corner of Euclid Avenue and Lise Avenue.
The force of the water held the back-half of the car in the
air for over an hour until crews from the water department shut the
hydrant off.

The car was unoccupied when police arrived on scene. Neighbors said they saw men and women running from the scene of the crash.

It is believed that the car was stolen sometime Monday night.
