I cut this one down so it would just fit, but you can see how the winds really bend the trees, snapping one about 12' from the ground right at the end of the clip. The winds were coming from the East for this clip, meaning I was on the North and North East quarter of the storm at the time. This was just a band that was coming through. They come in waves, for those who haven't been through one in person.
Dennis wasn't as fierce as Ivan was, but it did put up a good fight for second in this area. I've driven around and filmed a few of these that have come through. When Ivan came in, I stopped. That was a little more than I wanted to get involved with again, so I retired from exploring during one of these monsters.
