Yes, shortly after Barack Obama appointed Charles Bolden as director of NASA, he said that their "foremost" role was now "Muslim outreach". Once he said that, you knew our space program was history. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlcNUq77_LM&hl=en_US&fs=1)
One more example of this socialist bozo dismantling the country. If he's booted out in 2012, there MIGHT be a possibility of undoing the damage. By 2016 it will be too late.

@rhlovela Muslim outreach? What, Obama wants to have the new astronauts flying jets and rockets into buildings rather than into space?

if you total all of the various shuttle missions mileage together, over the thirty years they were flying, the full distance would not reach the planet saturn from earth. makes you realise how far the human race has yet to go, just to explore the inner parts of our solar system (which is, in turn, miniscule within our galaxy).

8mins of the landing in HD.
Plus, since it's NASA, they have the cam the right way up and on a tripod.

Goddamn America can sure build some fucking incredible machines. It's too bad that barry hussein osama isn't impressed by our capabilities. He would rather scrap our incredible NASA program so he can funnel more money into paying out money to welfare and food stamps and to the people who contibute absolutely nothing to our once great society. Pretty sad.

Too bad we won't be using it again, but we need to move onto better space vehicles, too bad Obama won't spend money on something worth while...

@kmmouse ... No, you should be glad to see something daring, new and exciting, not the final stages of Barack Obama dismantling our space program so he can pay for his lousy socialist programs.
You should be sick to your stomach.

@rhlovela oh it is sickening... but glad I saw it finally journey! The next space program may have something bigger and better. Obama won't be president for long.
