  • Salvaged title. no airbags, needs body work, engine still runs, horrible gas mileage but lots of horsepower, Registration expired. Great restoration project!

  • Can someone explain to me why LA and NYC deserve shuttles and not Houston?

    • @wharris Sadly in American democratic society
"things" go to the figurative undeserving majority rather then the hard working fringe locals who make the whole "democracy" thing possible......

The only thing made possible in NYC and L.A. are dreams, be it financial or theatrical. Along with that type of culture you get the type of society that spawns from it and lives only for it....

    • @wharris The shuttles are a symbol of past greatness, and present failure. That's why NYC and LA get them.

People around the industrialized world visit CA and NY as vacation. Nuff Said.

Then we should move the Houston Space museum to one of those places.

  • I saw it do its last flight on the roof of my company's building and saw it up close yesterday. That thing is so worked it literally looks like it's been to hell and back, hard to believe it would survive 1 more exit and enter into the atmosphere.

Now one of the best creations on this planet can rest. Now let's see what SpaceX and the other private exploration organizations have to offer.

    • @anubiskrytes

LMFAO @ your weeping. You do know the deadline to end the shuttle program ALSO started with Bush correct? Even he was smart enough to know a 30+ year old shuttle needed to be retired and let the private aerospace companies i.e. (SpaceX & Virgin Galactic) handle the next generation of space exploration shuttles.

NASA and JPL by the way will still very much be alive to support everything else.
