May 24, 2007 Sheik Sadullah Khan MSU lecture on Apartheid at UC Irvine Part 1 of 2

The Muslim Student Union at the University of California Irvine invited Sheik Sadullah Khan to speak on his personal experiences growing up under South African apartheid.

The beginning of the event was rather interesting, with California State Assemblyman Chuck DeVore challenging the MSU over the MSU's policy of requesting no audio or video recordings or photography and then asking the UCI administration to selectively enforce that request against - by the looks of it - only non-Muslims while looking the other way when multiple Muslims record the events.

A week prior to this event, the UCI Acting Director of Judicial Affairs, Edgar J. Dormitorio, threw a non-Muslim student out of a MSU event. The MSU-invited speaker at that event, Amir Abdel Malik Ali, had in the past called for violence against innocent civilian Jews as well used bigoted anti-Jewish rhetoric. See details here
