White House calls Fox an 'ideological outlet'
By David

Interviews of President Barack Obama was broadcast on five news outlets Sunday but Fox News was not included. Chris Wallace called the White House "the biggest bunch of crybabies I have dealt with my 30 years in Washington."

The White House responded Saturday. "We figured Fox would rather show 'So You Think You Can Dance' than broadcast an honest discussion about health care reform," Josh Earnest told ABC News.

Earnest indicated that Obama would probably appear on Fox News again. "Not that their whining particularly strengthens their case for participation any time soon," said Earnest.

Chris Wallace continued to criticize the president Sunday. "Every president is thin-skinned, but I wonder whether this administration, this White House, has a particular problem with criticism," he said.

  • 'So you think you can dance' actually does about as much to intelligently debate health care reform as all of Obamas appearances.

  • Fox has done more to get the truth out than all of the other networks combined.

I've yet to see any "Honest Discussions from any of the other news source. To a liberal "Honest Discussion" is political code for propaganda, so by their standards, they're doing their job.

  • Well, bottom line up front. If obama wanted to reach across the isle and truly get the bipartisan movement happening with his health care plan, then we all know this to be true.....Fox news is a conservative leaning news outlet. All the others are liberal leaning. Fox news by far, outranks all the others in viewers each and every week. If Obama truly wanted to reach Americans not in step with his vision of health care he should have went straight to FOX and spoke directly to conservative Am More..

    • I agree.
In a perfect world, a right leaning news outlet on TV would have been great for him to present and defend his ideas for the future.
Problem is, we don't have a right leaning news outlet, we have a right based, grossly distorting, mostly lying or misrepresenting news outlet called Fox News.
Had Fox News been even remotely a serious news reporting agency, I'm absolutely positive Obama would have been glad to go there to present his views.
Given Fox News appalling track record though, you More..

    • Name calling Fox and its audience and not acknowledging the fact that it has the most viewers of any of the top news outlets is a major mistake by the Democrats including BHO. It doesnt matter that you disagree with Fox news and you look down at its audience, FOX news is a news outlet for millions upon millions of conservative Americans. BHO is going to disenfranchise republicans and show that he is truly not interested in their wants, needs or opinions.
