Stevie Ray Vaughn's Guitar- Number One
This video is from when the Fender Custom Shop reviewed the guitar to build replicas. By the looks of it he has played more hours behind his back and over his head than I have ever played.

Wow..that git box was beat to hell. Musical instruments will absorb the musician's karma and take on musical characteristics all their own, but some instruments will sound like ass directly from the factory and no amount of playing will bend them into a musical sound. I've had cymbals like that. Just duds right out of the box.

@dav1936531 Ditto. mycymbals.com if you haven't been there. See it, hear it, buy the exact same item. Cool concept and I've always been happy.

@Singlecoilsnap Thanks for this upload, it brings back some fond memories of his live shows.
I got to see this guitar up close at the 2007 Crossroads Festival in Chicago.

Thing is,..you couldn't use it on stage. Chances are you can't play well enough to give it justification. People would look at you with contempt not admiration. That guitar only fits one man.

I was lucky enough to see him soon before he died at the Santa Barbara County Bowl.
It was the best concert I have ever been too. I'm not a big blues fan, but I am a SRV fan since then.

@1098r Yes, very heavy gauge strings he used. How he bent those strings so far is beyond me.

Steve Vai said of Jimi Hendrix: "I can play everything he has ever played. I know exactly how he does it and can do it note for note. The thing is, how the hell did he THINK of it?"
SRV is in that category. As soon as one project would come out I was itching for the next. I could and can never get enough of his stuff.
