Kentucky’s Finest Pt. 4: Two POS Arrested, Meth Lab in Home With 2 yr Old Child

World's Greatest Dad! --- (London, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at approximately 12:07 PM, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, responded to a residence on Edgewater Road, 9 miles south of London in Laurel County to check on the welfare of a child.

Upon arrival officers made contact with two individuals and in the course of checking the welfare of the 2 year old child discovered an active Methamphetamine lab.

Trooper Fred Pennington arrested the following two (2) people:

Terry A. Cornett, 42, of Corbin on the charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1ST, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1ST Degree 1ST Offense (Meth), Possession of Marijuana, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Control Substance Endangerment to a Child 4TH.

Aundrea M. Lay, 34, of Corbin on the charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1ST, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1ST Degree 1ST Offense (Meth), Possession of Marijuana and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

The 2 year old child was taken into protective custody and released to a Case Worker from the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children (Laurel County Office).

Trooper Pennington is in charge of the investigation and was assisted by KSP Sergeant Lafe Owens, the Laurel County Department for Public Safety and the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children (Laurel County Office).
