  • Whenever I see a caption encouraging me to "turn up the volume" I instantly become suspicious that it's going to be a screamer and have to watch it in mute, thus having the opposite desired effect.

  • I want one.

You have to dispose of Corona somehow. And drinking that swill isn't an option.

  • Don´t be fooled by the Corona´s advertisment....here in Mexico nobody drinks that cheap beer. Tecate is the #1 in sales.

  • It doesnt even look like the cannon is pointing at the bottle, and secondly the frame gets all fucked up while the cannon fires.. Looks kinda fake.

    • @zcleak

You make a valid point - it does look like it's pointing a couple of inches to the right of the bottle, and unless the cannon is nailed down it should have been blasted back in the opposite direction with the recoil.

Maybe a bullet fired at it at the same time as the cannon blast?

    • I mentioned in someone elses comment that I did stick double stick tape on the bottom, it normally does move back a couple inches.

    • The Twixtor plugin for Adobe AE does that. Look at it frame by frame in the normal speed video...it doesn't warp at all.

    • @The Judge Yes yes yes yes! Your're so right, and it was the Israelis that pulled the trigger, its another cover up!!!

  • Viewing the slow-repeat frame by frame, the video is all wrong.

There's a distortion prior to the cannon going off, followed by a washout, THEN the cannon goes off.

There's some sort of overlay going on when the bottle breaks; ember-streaks from the cannon-fire linger unchanged (but fading) through 8 frames.

The cannon doesn't recoil even a fraction of a millimeter.

The audio of the explosion sounds like it's dubbed.

The distortion could conceivably be caused by a shockwave affecting the ca More..

    • @NotJim

Except that it would be much, much simpler to just blow a beer bottle up with a bb and a little powder.

    • @NotJim Having some experience with this type of item I can say that it would have been harder to fake it than to make it.

My only issue here is the distinct lack of apparent recoil. And even that can be explained if the cannon is fastened tightly to the table in a manner that we can not see here.

      I agree!

I think they did shoot the bottle, but the video (probably) and the audio (definitely) seem to have been altered.

    • I did put a little piece of double stick tape under it. It normally does move about an inch or two when shot.
