London Heathrow: Arrivals over Myrtle Avenue
Aircraft: Various Aircraft
Airline: Various Airlines
Remarks: As is standard operating procedure at Heathrow, at 15.00 the runways switched and 27L became the active arrivals runway. This gave me a chance to film jets thundering over the world-famous Myrtle Avenue. Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worst, and then a fire closed ATC!

All that said is true and correct except for the way you spell easily....but im assuming thats a typo
They switch runways at a pre-determined time?
We only change RWY (05/23) when there's a SIGMET!
As for snipers/terrorists etc, this point has been raised about the now easily available SBR/SSR receivers that are on the market for less than $600.
I know that most routes are easily available online, and anyone with a like mind could easily cause havoc.
I've worked for ATC for a couple of years, and I still like to watch 'em every day, except I can do it from a great vantage point in the Tower!!

I would go insane with such a noise whole the day

You wouldn't need to hit the pilot. Seems to me that at that low speed & altitude, they'd have a tough time recovering from just about any kind of hit on a critical system.

Property values must be in the negative numbers with that crap.

My Sis used to live in Hounslow and they were low enough there.
It's only a matter of time before one of these wipes out a whole street :-(
Besides that ******* noise would really do my head in lol

neat-o, those 747's are ridiculously huge. Amazing feats of engineering there.

Heathrow International Airport is photovation heaven for plane-spotting enthusiasts. And according to the videographer [an outstanding one!], Myrtle Avenue is famous worldwide for spotters, although that probably isn't the opinion of its residents:)
Notice how majestic the 747s are compared to their smaller brothers:)
