A freight train in Columbus, Ohio derailed and caught fire in the early hours of 07/11. A nearby resident named Chris Mumma grabbed his camera and climbed onto the tracks to take a closer look. He climbed to the top of one of the non-burning train cars and took the picture of the fire shown below. This picture was picked up by the AP and was distributed worldwide. Numerous explosions were reported and the AP reported, "Chris Mumma, who witnessed the fire, says he decided to move away from the fire when he realized he could have been seriously hurt."

Mumma was later transported to a local hospital after becoming sick due to the fumes he inhaled. The idiot was lucky he was not killed.
