  • It would be awesome to see a full on F1 race there. I reckon there would be so much carnage... It'd rate well.

EDIT:... Even better, Bathurst F1 - night race

  • Voted.

F1 Bathurst would be great to watch, pity it costs so much to host an F1 race.

  • When Bathurst came out for rFactor, one of the first things I tried was driving an F1 around there. I was left with the distinct impression it would be way too dangerous in real life.

  • Why do they build tracks like this with no runoff area?

  • @oddbal

The Mt Panorama circuit is actually a public road for most of the year, so technically a street circuit.

  • Yeah, an F1 race there would be great viewing initially. There would be much carnage and most of the race would end up being run under the safety car :(

FIA would never allow an F1 race there for a number of reasons.

They don't have the facilities required (grandstands, hotels etc).
The track is in the middle of nowhere and won't pull enough of a crowd to make it financially viable.
The crowd that would like to go, probably wouldn't be able or willing to pay the ridiculous prices that are c More..
