Santa Cruz has farmers markets up the ass every week, plenty of local food, plenty of goodwills and thrift stores.

you could can or freeze your fruits and veggies, thats how i eat mine in the winter. my concern isn't so much with funding something i don't approve of, its the environmental impact of getting the food to where i live, the way in which the food was grown, and i want to support local farmers and vendors.

I agree. California is out of money but somehow we think we can create more subsidies. This kid probably goes to UC Santa Cruz, a LOT of hippie delusionals there.
