NEAR DEATH Waterslide Accident: Launch and Fall
I shot this video at Utah's Seven Peaks Waterpark. It is possible to get going fast enough to completely leave the slide. This kid barely avoided falling to his death. He was a little banged up and freaked out when I talked to him at the bottom. Should they close slides like this?

Fair enough.
These were full tube designs and we were doing about 10 people, attendants didn't have a problem with it, much stronger looking design than that park.. still though.. always wondered, thanks for that.

That is what happens if you push up at just the right moment or block enough of the water behind you or both. The kid did that on purpose and its a good thing the water park designed the slide so no one could fall off it. I would have been one of the kids doing that as a teenager. Looks fun!!
