The thing with hurricanes is that only one in every twenty or thirty are really destructive. But that one nasty fellow more than makes up for the others.
The news media should have quit with the hype when it was clear this was a Cat 1. When they overplay stories like this it becomes like calling wolf and carries with it the same hazards.

That's not aftermath...that's a 5 day clean up from a wind storm.
want aftermath?...Should've been in Pensacola after Ivan, or New Orleans after Katrina...now that's aftermath.
NYC...I'm glad you missed the rath of what a real hurricane can do...but this isn't aftermath.

Same as the thunder storm that went through here a few months ago and no National Guard was called out here. No evacuations were called for,can we say overreaction. Well that area is run by democrats,so getting it wrong is no surprise and is quite expected. Idiots.
