Local Police Chief's Daughter Arrested On Drug Charges

The daughter of Shreveport Louisiana's police chief was arrested Friday after probation and parole agents found marijuana in the house while doing a routine check of her husband and another man.

Bianca Frasier, the daughter of Chief Willie Shaw, was booked into the parish jail for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Probation and parole agents said they were making a routine check at a house on Janey Street in Shreveport when they saw marijuana on the kitchen table. Agents checked the rest of the house and found marijuana packaged for sale, Probation and Parole said in a statement Friday afternoon.

Also arrested were Frasier's husband, Isaac, and Blake Jones.

Isaac Frasier, who was on supervised release after a battery conviction, was booked on charges of possession of drugs with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a gun in conjunction with drugs. Jones, who was on supervised release for a drug conviction, was booked on marijuana-possession charges.

Shaw issued a statement today saying he would let the criminal justice system handle the matter involving his 21-year-old daughter.

"Just like any concerned parent, I am disappointed that my daughter has been caught up in this situation, but I have an abiding belief in our criminal justice system and a clear understanding that no one is above the law," Shaw statement said. "I am confident the matter will be handled appropriately."
