I walked downtown today on my lunch break to check out the Tea Party rally in Syracuse, New York. I heard about these rallies being organized across the U.S. to mainly protest the recent government corporate bailouts and out-of-control spending of our tax monies. Other issues that were expressed were disagreement with Obama administration policies, outsourcing of manufacturing jobs, high New York More..state taxes, globalism, and a shift away from traditional values to "progessive" ones. It was a peaceful demonstration that was attended by more people than I thought initially would have attended. It featured speakers, music, and even an open microphone in the crowd to get opinions on what various grievances were.
